The wearer of a Hei Tiki possesses clarity of thought, loyalty, great inner knowledge and strength of character. The Hei Tiki is also regarded as a good luck charm. The Hei tiki can also represent Hine-te-iwaiwa, a celebrated ancestress associated with fertility and the virtuous qualities of Māori womanhood.
