This is a hand carved yellow cedar paddle with a carved and painted Eagle design by Native American Artist Kevin Daniel Cranmer from the Kwakwaka´wakw Nation.

The Eagle Symbol is known as “The master of skies” and is a symbol of great significance. He is believed to be the creature with the closest relationship with the creator. Soaring to great heights, he can travel between the physical and the spiritual world. He is said to be a messenger to the creator.

The paddle is about 61 inches or 155 centimeters long, up to 5 3/4 inches or 14 1/2 centimeters wide and up to 1 1/2 inches or up to 4 centimeters thick.
