This Eagle Mask is by Nuu-chah-nulth artist Patrick Amos. The mask has been carved from red cedar and painted in green, yellow, dark red, white, and black acrylic. The mask has copper eyes, and has been adorned with feathers and red cedar bark bundles.

The Eagle Symbol is known as “The master of skies” and is a symbol of great significance. He is believed to be the creature with the closest relationship with the creator. Soaring to great heights, he can travel between the physical and the spiritual world. He is said to be a messenger to the creator.

Without the cedar bark, the mask is about 11 inches or 28 centimeters long, about 8 1/2 inches or 21 centimeters wide, and 8 inches or 20 centimeters deep. Including the feathers and cedar bark, the mask is about 16 inches or close to 41 centimeters wide and around 23 1/2 inches or 60 centimeters long.
